Referral vs Coupon Codes
The Invite Friend / referral event is not the same as promotional coupons. Coupons use Register Coupon and strings like COOKIERUNCRUMBLENO1. Referrals use another player’s MID inside the Events menu. Mixing the two fields will fail.
Your MID (Mercenary / DevPlay ID) is the short code under your profile icon or in Settings → Account. Share it when you want friends to credit your invite track.
How to Enter a Referral
Open Events → Enter Referral Code (label may read Invite Friend). Paste a friend’s MID and confirm. New accounts should do this early—some clients lock entry after progress thresholds.
The referred player generally needs to clear Stage 1-30 before the inviter receives credit. Keep pushing story alongside team slot unlocks so both of you benefit.
Sweet n’ Sour Pet Rewards
Successful invites feed a reward track toward the SSR Sweet n’ Sour Pet (also written Sweet and Sour). Community launch notes describe sizable copy stacks across the full invite ladder—enough to raise Pet stars if you keep inviting eligible friends who finish Stage 1-30.
Claim invite rewards from the event UI (often near the menu as pink/blue bear-jelly prompts). Pet copies then follow normal pet pairing investment rules—do not ignore Companion Effects once the SSR lands.
Tips and Etiquette
One referral entry per account is typical—confirm in-client before hopping codes. Public MID sharing is normal for this event; still avoid posting unused private coupon screenshots with your ID.
